We believe that Jesus is the son of God and not just a good man or a prophet. We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, actually walked this earth, taught, discipled, forgave sins, performed miracles, healed and raised people from the dead. He lived a sinless life. He was beaten, bruised, cursed and spat on and died a shameful death on the cross. Even though He did not deserve it, He took the shame, punishment and death we deserved when He went the cross. He died and rose on the third day and now He sits at the right hand of God the Father. He accepted our punishment and paid for all of our sins so that we could have a relationship with God. He did that because He loved us. Not because we deserved it. Not because we are perfect. Not because we are sinless. We have sinned many times and broken the heart of God many times. The reason He did this is because He wanted a relationship with us and He loved us ... even before we even knew Him. He still does.

God loves you!!! God loves you so much that He paid the price for your sins. He wants a relationship with you. You can just come as you are. You don't need to first clean yourself up before you come to Him. Come as you are. Don't worry, He will work with you and change you to become more like Him. He has been waiting and watching for you. He knows you are tired and often feel there is no hope. He can lift that heavy burden you have been carrying all your life and replace it with His warm love, and the knowledge that you are accepted and that you are special ... YOU are wanted. God made you in His image, in His likeness (with feelings and emotions). His heart breaks when your heart breaks. He longs for you to know that He cares for you and to experience His love for you. If you doubt God exists, ask Him to show you. He will! He is faithful and promises us that if we seek Him with our whole heart, we will find Him. One more thing, you don't need a fancy prayer. Just thank Jesus for what He has done for you. Jesus died for you on the cross. Admit that you have sinned and that you are not perfect (all of us have sinned). Ask Him to forgive and let Him know that you want to start living for Him and in a relationship with Him from this point on. It is really that simple. He is waiting for you.
